The first ever Gisburn Scarecrow Festival will be held in the village over the weekend of 28th and 29th June 2014 from 10am to 4pm each day.
The theme is 'Characters from Children's Books' and already many people have signed up to take part in the event.
Scarecrows will be placed around the village and a trail map will be available from the Festival Hall priced at £1. All proceeds will go to the upkeep of the village hall.
There will also be a mini-trail around the playground for the younger ones and a raffle with some fantastic prizes, including a weekend break at Ribblesdale Park!
The Festival Hall community cafe will be open both days serving light refreshments.
It's sure to be a great day out for all the family so don't miss it.
